Agniveers upon recruitment in the Armed Forces through the Agnipath Scheme will receive an attractive monthly financial package along with Risk and Hardship allowances as applicable in all three Forces.

Monthly Package

1st Year – Rs 30,000/-

Upgradation upto Rs 40,000/- in 4th Year

Allowances

Risk & Hardship, Ration, Travel Allowances, Dress as applicable

‘Seva Nidhi’ package

Upon the completion of the 4-years of service, a one-time ‘Seva Nidhi’ package of Rs 11.71 lakhs will be paid to the Agniveers that will include their accrued interest thereon and matching contribution from the Indian Government equal to the accumulated amount of their contribution including interest as mentioned below:

Earlier this week, the government announced that the salary will be around Rs 40,000 per month by the time the Agniveer reaches his/her fourth year and the government will add to the corpus fund that will be the severance of around Rs 11.71 lakh when they exit. c As announced, the soldiers will be contributing almost 30 per cent of their salaries to the corpus and an equal amount will be deposited by the government.

These recruits will get help in securing loans for further education, and they will be getting incentivized with higher education credits and other bridging courses once they are relieved of their duty.

Death Compensation

  • Non-contributory life insurance covers Rs 48 lakhs.
  • Additional Ex-Gratia of Rs 44 Lakhs for death attributable to service.
  • Pay for the unserved portion for up to 4 years including ‘Seva Nidhi’ component

Disability Compensation

  • Compensation is based on % the disability laid down by medical authorities.
  • One-time ex-gratia of Rs 44/25/15 lakhs for 100 per cent/75 per cent/ 50 per cent disability respectively.

Total contribution to Agniveer Corpus Fund after four years- Rs.5.02 lakh.

Exit after four years – Rs 11.71 Lakh as SevaNidhi Package.
